My sister Cheryl 12/64 - 12/04

How do you say goodbye to someone you thought you would always be with.  Losing my only sibling left a deep hole inside of me.  We were a year and four days apart.  Until the day she left this life, I had never thought suicide would be a part of my vocabulary.  Now, it's everywhere I turn.

Cheryl had just turned 40 one day earlier.  She was the oldest and always did everything before me.  When we were little we shared our room, clothes and secrets.  As we grew up, we forged different identities but turned to each other for advice.

Now I face a future without her.  She was the one person that shared my 39 years.  She was my best friend and I  miss her.

Thanks for visiting this site.  If you have lost a sibling to suicide and would like to talk, email me at mdskip4@aol.com
